Intro: In the Works...
Here we go....the "blog." I have felt for some time it was indeed: "time." life, ministry, relationships, artwork, musings, there is so much I want to say and since Facebook has it's limitations as do many situations; here we are.
I have titled this blog's site as "In the Works." Whenever someone asks us creative types questions such as: "How's that project going?" We answer: "Oh, it's in the works..." This phrase fits many scenarios: "How's that diet coming?" "It's in the works..." "How's that new job coming along?" "It's in the works..." "How's life in general coming?" That, is definitely "in the works."
Today, as many days previous...I have sat at this computer ready to share the good, the bad and the ugly with those that would listen (or read). From videos, lyrics, scriptures and life events....even crazy moms in the drop-off line at my daughter's school. Yet, I knew something was, you guessed it: "in the works."
So, here we are...get ready. I am fairly confident I will leave no stone unturned. I have often said post-divorce that life has been refined and redefined...and I feel here is the platform. For now.
It makes sense as today is "National Women's Day." Yes, celebrate us...and let our daughters celebrate...themselves....and one day, like I read a few days ago, "Be the type of woman, your grandaughters read about."
Having said that: Virgina Johnson was the most amazing, funny, woman of character I have ever known, outside of my own family. She was my daughters' great grandmother. She had endured poverty, motherhood, single-motherhood, then she raised two grandsons that had been dropped at her house. She raised them. One was my ex-husband. Although the casualty of a wretched divorce caused literal and figurative distance...she always loved us. She always remembered holidays and sent her sweet prayers our way whenever she could. So, to you Virgina....this launch is dedicated. And now...since this very morning, you are with your Heavenly Father....you, my sweet dear are no longer: "In the Works." you are perfect.
